Also check version. My wife's year old '17 was fine until one of the apple updates. Realized her mazda connect was a few revs behind. I updated it to the latest, and problems went away. Boot time of MazdaConnect improved quite a bit too.

Don't think 2015s have Mazda connect. Could be wrong
Hmm... sounds like you might be before MZD connect came to the CX-5. May explain the slowness
Then sounds like an issue with Unobtainiums infotainment system. Maybe a firmware/software update might fix it...
Yes and hence doesn't take long to do
Mine is older and i rarely have any issues..seeing another device has been the only real "issue" aside from maybe handful of times over what 4.5 years now...I think you had to get the gt to get features that actually work

Yup, I think you are correct. is there an update though for the 2015? Could be something to check as the phones are always updating.

No. Mine is plenty fast, and I certainly don't have to upload contacts everytime.
I think Uno may just need to get his checked out.
I prefer upload contacts everytime incase a phone number has changed.

I just turned it off my wife's 2017 cx-3 - you don't have to upload everytime. I tested and all the contacts are still there.

It was a wonderful thread. I feel bad about being a part of the de-railment. We were getting so much fresh news from Mazda, and I had to go and ruin that.
It was derailed because there is no more news on the CX-5 diesel coming to USA/Canada.
