And its in! Only took 4 hours to get all the mounts lined up, a few crushed fingers, and some blood loss lol. Pretty tough by yourself.

Goddamn that black engine and transmission is amazing. What paint did you use?

One thing I noticed, you're not using any of the plastic covers? Or was that a mistake?

Thanks! I used Rust-Oleum high heat ultra paint.

The timing covers aren't on yet cause I had to take off the timing belt and intake camshaft to fix the shims as they weren't in spec. Going to put them on once I get the head all sorted out

Looks great. Is the oil return in the mbsp just threaded in with Teflon tape? If so, personally I'd jb weld it in there because I bet it'll weep a bit if you dont.

Almost ready to run! Got -16AN fittings welded onto the radiator and lower thermostat housing. Gonna send the housing off to get powder coated. New kei project weighted shift knob and shift boot installed. Was in dire need of a new knob, my old one was no longer cutting it for me. Also finished up my new gauge mounts, just need a single din radio now and an oil pressure gauge. Last but not least, got the tial inlet flange welded on the exhaust manifold. All the welds are freaking amazing, glad I have an awesome shop right down the road from me.

The intake manifold and valve cover are both temporary. Waiting on the pope manifold to get finished and waiting for my powder coated valve cover to get back to me!

Wow, what size is that turbo? It is massive.

I saw that hood on Amazon for $215 or something crazy cheap. If it were a plain hood I would have bought it in a heartbeat but I was indecisive about it. Oh well, they are all gone now!
