I'll be at the LA Auto show opening weekend.
hoping to have something good to report
Interesting...
Looks like there's an updated filing with the EPA and signs point to it being a 2018 model.

Seems you get an extra 2HP for your diesel over the rest of the world
If true, I'll be disappointed after seeing the CX-8 produces more.
Cool nice find jedi...not sure what to make of it exactly but it does appear the slow roll out is at least still rolling(popcorn)
Links!!!!more things happening behind the scenes: it's on EPC!
Finally, today 2018 CX-5 is listed and has parts and part numbers for the Diesel 2.2.

...with a manual? (He asks even though he probably already knows the answer *sigh* )
Maybe on bottom spec(s) but if it's like here, all diesels come only with automatic transmissions
That combo is available in parts of Europe and Asia but given how phobic North Americans are of manuals, I'm sure I'm SOL
Pretty sure we're only getting 'top spec' here with the diesels initially too (would have preferred a mid-level model personally).
It's available there because diesels with manual transmissions are more common place
We get diesels as an option on all but the base version here (5 versions)
