Stiff gas pedal normal? [2019]

I have a 2019 Sport. I've noticed sometimes that the gas pedal is stiffer than normal when driving. It usually feels normal but sometimes it will feel much stiffer. Usually happens when I am going a constant speed. I've noticed it from going around 30 mph on side streets to going around 60 mph on the highway. It doesn't happen every day even though I take the same commute every day.

Is this anything to be concerned about? Is this related to cylinder deactivation? I have not gotten the recall work done yet.

I had a 2019 rental with CD. it didn*t have a stiff pedal but I did find it a bit fierce on occasions. I found myself apologising to my Mrs for jolting her about a few times.
