Vaccum hose for boost gauge installation?

I checked the how-to section for this one and I found what I'm looking for. The only thing I'm still wondering is why changing the Autometer Nylon hose for a true vaccum line? Is there any advantages of using an "authentic vaccum hose" ?? Or using the nylon one that comes with the gauge is fine?

Thanks

No, as long as you don't have any kinks. The reason for upgrading is that some hoses that come with the product become dry and brittle when exposed to the elements such as heat and cold or both. What you want to do is upgrade to something that will remain soft and maleable.

Im also going to upgrade my nylon hose for a 3/16 vaccum hose. Is it too big? Im asking that because I heard the smaller the hose, the better the reading (dunno) !!!

Thanks
