'03 P3 shifter modification

i want to shorten my shifter for cosmetic purposes, i was wondering if there was anyway to get around that fat ass weight about 2in down from the top of the threaded shifter. does it come off or whats the deal with it.

um i guess you should buy a short shifter...either kartboy, b&m, twm, or megan racing...good luck

Welcome to the forums.

Now, Duece, you gotta search! This has been covered multiple times.
1) There is a shifter extension that can be removed.
2) You can buy a short shifter.

I though MP3 didn't have an extension?

You are absolutly right. I saw p and a number and thought it was a 5. My bad.

If you want it that low, you should get a Kartboy SS.

deuce.....click on the search button....type in shifter shortening.....hit search and you will find this info...
