MP5T Rebuild Photo Journal

Yes, That kit is still in the works.

Rebuilding the engine is basically money in the bank. It's good to check it out to make sure that there is nothing bad happening to the walls.

Massive boost even on a built motor can take it's toll, and I do not want to blow #2 for something stupid like a $50.00 head gasket or main bearings.

Don't forget to vote for ROTM.

Well in 1 Hour and 21 Min I went from THIS...

I'm in the same boat. Spun a rod bearing, so I've got the whole botom end apart in about 5 hours. DId your trick of drilling holes in the bellhousing to get the windage tray off. Worked liek a charm, so thanks for that! :D

Sweet, I think the idea originally came from Dana.

So This forum is stupid in general IMO..

VOTE FOR THE STOCK MS3, Just because Cashmere told you to.

Not for the guy who has a daily boost setting of 22 Psi and can rebuild the motor from scratch in under 10 Hours...

Who would that be(spank)

So, After installing the head recently, the car started to throw coolant so I had the head Milled and got a new gasket.

The Results are VERY GOOD!

Here are some shots..

Hey Brian, did you unbolt your intake mani from the bottom bracket or leave that attached? I'm pulling my head tonight and want to remove as little as possible...

It has not been on my car since 2003...

Get some lock Wire and use it to hold the intake mani against the fire wall..

There are small holes where the Hood gasket is/was, I used them...
