P5 Rear hatch pushing rod.

I want to ask those who have the 2003 P5.
Will the 2 compressed air pushing rod supporting the rear hatch push up the hatch automatically when you open it half way through?
Cause mine doesn't do that after the repair. I have to lift it up manually now.

mine goes right up. I open it 2-6 times a day and I don't lift at all, just pop it open and move out of the way.

Either the struts are shot or the hatch alignment is so f'd that it won't move.

You're not supposed to have to lift it up manually.
Man, you should really go complain to the bodyshop. The car's full of problems after the repairs.

They are worst than some very lazy kids. I have to push them around every single step to make them do their job right.
I hate these guys!
