rear caliper brake knock sound

I have a P-5 w/ 200 miles on it and when I back out of the garage and stop I hear knock or tick sound, samething the first time I hit the brakes going forward, but thats the only time it knocks or ticks.... Non ABS....

Anyone else have this going on? not that I care its under warranty, just curious....

Mine does the same (I have 600mi)... more like a tick sound though... It eventually stops doing it after I ride for a bit. I have non-ABS as well... I also notice that the engine vibrate a little bit when it's idle.

I just get the tick once...if it doesn't go away I'll take it back...No big deal, but its fun to tell dealers of what they have to expect.. :)

Thanks for responding

more than likely what you're hearing is the caliper just slightly knocking against the caliper pins. We have semi-floating calipers so the caliper can slide back and forth horizontally to compensate of rotor warpage and for brake pad wear. It's nothing out of the ordinary and won't hurt a thing.

Thanks!! I was just wondering if it was common with these cars
