ask the dealer to run a VIN record check on the work done on the vehicle.
 
an average of miles on broken LSD is:
27586 Miles

That is ******* scary!!...at onme point or another everyone is eventually going to need to replace the LSD.

i'm at 60000 and got my car at 51000...so i'm guessing my LSD has failed already, even tho it doesn't show up on any record....

I took this breaking as a sign and just went with the quaife. Might as well upgrade as it might happen again. Damn hope I didn't jinx anyone here LOL.
 
simple advice:
dont launch,
don't drag race,
avoid driving over uneven roads,
install all the awr motor mounts
 
So pretty much don't drive the car. LOL. It's hard to avoid driving on uneven roads here and detroit and jersey.
 
sometimes that can be hard...

But seriously...I try to be gentle on the LSD, but my worries lies when I go up my driveway I have to go in a steep angle and I can hear the LSD switching and grabbing.

Good luck trying to do that. All I can say is take your mods off before you go in. Make it back to stock and youll have an easier time trying to fight them. Please back on topic. POST LSD FAILURES ONLY, unless you have information worth posting like pictures or technical data. Questions can be dug up in old threads using the search.
 
i try to take care of the tranny alot... when i go over very uneven/rough roads, or take a driveway or entry way at an angle, i try to carry enough speed and take the car out of gear. that way, it's not engaged and can't mess up the LSD.

I added up those numbers and got the average... it's 30,000 miles.

wow, that's a short life for an LSD.
