All,

Since now that I am involved regarding this (been affected, my threads have been closed - just when I'm starting to offer lower prices and new product), I have cut/paste what Antoine has requested, and I ask the happen ASAP as well...


Special Notice to ALL...

ALL vendor members must become AMM's or stop conducting business in the forums. That includes DaveB, evil msp decals, catch cans etc...

If I am not selling anything I'm not conducting business right? Isnt that what a merchant or vendor does?

If you're making a product on your own (read: hardpipes) to sell on here, you need to become an AAM

It's not pointless when NOBODY seems to read the index, nor does anyone seem to enforce it (forum-wide). WTF!

If I am shut down, I would assume someone should shut everyone else down as well for "equality". OR, get rid of the status across the board (no pun intended) and I'll gladly provide a donation.

This is exactly right. We will be closing threads like this untill this has been done.

This action is to ensure the financial safety of our forum members.
 
Wow man. I've let your threads stay open for such a long time in the wrong section because I haven't had a reason to mess with you. However, with the recent addition of these rules, we all discussed the enforcement and now it's comin down.

The way you're about to go off just because we've closed your threads does concern me, however. While some of us may not like the new status requirement, it's here to protect the members from fraud. No one that'll scam our members will pay a monthly fee to do so. See it that way instead of a "we want your money to download Libby Hoeler porn".

So it took everyone this long to realize it. So, what are you waiting for? I expect all threads to be closed by end of day today - right!?
 
Your threads have also been moved to the For Sale/AMM section, as will ALL threads starting today.

Dude, keep acting like an ass and they won't give you any kind of selling status and will require you to remove any and all advertisements FOR your product. Chill out.

This is coming from me, man.. I think I've proven to everyone I'm here to help not powertrip. Just relax.

Hey! I have no problem providing the AMM pre-paid fees. I have just been waiting since the day the AMM status was posted for you guys/girls to get off your ass and start enforcing it. Now that you are (at least on me), I hold high expectations to do it to everyone else. Again, where do I send the money? I do not disagree with the methodology, I want it to be all or nothing across the forum.

It's all good, yo. A few of the mods discussed this all last night/this morning and it's something we've gotta start enforcing because, as you said, a lot of us haven't.

We're set now, though.
 
I havent sold anything NOR WILL I until I get AMM status. I don't think it should require a shut down of a thread until you actually take some kind of collateral from another member of the forum.

If someone is going to scam someone, they could also do it in the For Sale section of the site.

I don't think its wrong to discuss an item that someone will be planning to sell if you havent SOLD anything.

You could just as easy have someone pay $10 dollars and get AMM status for a month and rip someone off for $400.

As I see it, it's protecting people from cool upgrades to our cars. Last I knew it's buyer beware. I'm just glad I'm not selling things on this board and dealing with all this closing of threads, and moving of posts and charges. After all zmzmp5 I think finally just broke even.

I agree.

For those who may be interested. Back in 1995-1997, I owned an import shop out of Miami. FL and was mail order nationwide out of Chicago. At that time in my life, with my business partner, I made near $800K (yes, near 1 million dollars) in the short few years I was in business. Note: I was in IT at the time, we took a third partner on and got screwed, two years ago I just got done paying off the remaining debt. I'm still in IT, have a wife, and three little girls, way different lifestyle, and it disgusts me to see the lack of governmental control - talk the talk, finally now walking the walk. What is my point? No matter what rules/controls you put in place, you can still get screwed like Binary says...

Dude exactly, if I were to scam people I'd do the same thing. Pay the monthly fee and hose people for way way more. I don't see the "protection" factor.
 
You can always get screwed in life and you will. We're just tryin to setup one more safety net, if you will, to keep the 'screwed percentage' low.

Tell that to the members affected by the 2Loww scam. That will NOT happen again.

If you dont plan on getting an AV or AMM status on this board, then you will not be allowed to sell any of your hardpipes here. All of your advertisements or threads will be gone ASAP.

Tease is the mod for the MSP section, and he is going to be helping to clean that section as are all the other mods. These threads belong in the For sale sections, so we can track them.

ZmZmp5, I have started to close threads already.
