m3 power mirrors w/o led.

hey guys i got bored and finally decided to install my m3 power mirrors w/o led... anyways.. i remember some of you saying the fitment was goofy, and that were it connects to the door isn't exactly right.. well here i am installing them, i go to bolt them on they are as tight as they can be.. but there still half a inch away from the door at the top. the bottom is a good quarter inch off the door. it doesn't look bad until you look at it from a profile. Just curious if anyone had a solution.. or if i should call the manufactor and ask them what to do or get them to send me another set?
