Rear tires wearing out more than front?!

So I rotated my tires. Measured the treadwear. It turns out there's 1 mm more wear on the back than front tires. Does this make any sense at all? I had 9000 kms on them. Could the toe-in settings be wrong somehow on the rear? Verry puzzled....

Sport Compact Car mentioned the fact that they wore slightly unevenly...When I had mine lowered with the Skunk2 coilovers, it was the front that was more cambered than the rear though.

Thats interesting. My front tires had about 3 mm less thread than the back tires before i rotated my tires at 12k.

I rotate my tires every 3-4K miles because they are so soft...the fronts were wearing a bit more than the rear like they should. And all the alignment specs seem where they should be...
