Which head unit should I replace my MSP factory one with?

Hey guys,

looking for some opinions as to which head unit I should get to replace my factory Kenwood unit in my MSP.

So far I think it's just Kenwood and Clarion that have Sirius built-in so those are the brands I am looking at. I have a kenwood sirius antenna and tuner, but I have been told the kenwood sirius tuner should work with any sirius head unit.

Anyone one have experience with either of these? I haven't gone and played with them in the store yet, but will want to sometime soon. Any other suggestions for sirius ready headunits?

I had a Panasonic unit once and it was okay, but I think that Clarion and Kenwood offer a better quality product, opinions?

I am fairly positive the kenwood sirus tuner uses the Kenwood bus system to connect to the headunit and is not compadable with the clarion.

Also the KDC-X969 has not real features over the 869, only the ability to play WMA files.

Hey Craig,

looing into the bus system issue. I was pretty sure that WMA was the only difference between the 869/969 but I can get a good price on it so why not, either one will probably work for me.

On the Kenwood stuff, any idea on when their new models will come out?

The only difference between the 2 are yes, the WMA ability and some graphics BS.

Kenwoods new stuff will not be out till next Feb/March.

The X869 and X969 are new. Just came out in March.
