paranoia

all right anyone that has followed my car audio progress might know that i was kinda worried about distortion in my sub. i dont think i have the gain set too high because i dont hear distortion, but i could be wrong. the reason i bring it up again is because today my sub seemed like it wasnt putting out the same thump that it had been. it very well could have been me being paranoid, but i want to ake sure im not damaging this thing. is there any way to test for sure whether it has been damaged or if it could be in the future?

Other then an osciliscope or the manufacturer of the amp telling you what voltage should be seen on a DMM for your subs impedance then no. ONly your ear can tell. If you and no one you know tells you its disotrting then you may be fine. Don't compare listening secions especialy with the radio. Only CDs.

As long as the subs in warrenty, don't worry, no one really sends subs out to service, they just swap them out.
