where to buy Oil Filters for best price these days? Open to buying in small bulk.

They are $9.98 + $4.49 + tax now. $15.42 each!

Ugh, NO!

I feel that 12-pack OEM MV filter for $34.99 shipped deal is too good to be true and it should be just a one-time deal.

Well , it wasn't (they sold hundreds), I'm about to use my 3rd one of the 12 pack in a couple of weeks. They're now $44.99 shipped for the same 12 pack, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them for anyone looking.

why not just go to Med Center Mazda and order 14 filters at $7.23 with free shipping when spend $100? Also is the model number with "A" correct for the 2016 cx-5 or is the 302 just as good for 2015 and 2016. I read some Amazon reviews people saying 2016 should have 302A due to a slightly different size

I think $7ish is a good price for the Thai filters because the first two I bought from my dealer. The first one was $8.25 and three months later it went up to $8.50 before tax. If one bought 14 filters at $8.50 it would be $119.00.

$40 shipped obo, lol, can’t beat that. If you insist on Thai filters, you can get a 5 pack for $45 or so shipped on eBay, but these filters are working great for me at less than $3 a piece.

You have a 2.5T CX-9, and the correct OEM oil filter is PY8W-14-302 (Tokyo Roki from Japan), not PE01-14-302A or PE01-14-302B which is for 2.5L.
The PY8W-14-302 has been superseded by a WPY-14-302. If you order the original PY8W part number you will probably receive the WPY. The WPY-14-302 is made in Thailand.

Well where I was getting them on Amazon went up from $7 to $10 each, so I am looking again.

Search MAzdaswag .com its a dealer's website. It has the Taiwanese filters for 6.80 bucks. I don't knw if shipping is free and have never used them. They are my backup.

Taiwanese filters? Went to mazdaswag.com and checked, it’s OEM 1WPE-14-302 Denso oil filter from Thailand, not Taiwan. The price is $6.42 before shipping.

Just a heads up for anyone from Australia - WESFIL has started making Mazda CX-X oil filters specifically for those models. part number on them reads PE01-14-302 Nippon Max series. Cross reference for them is OEM PE0114302, WIX 57002. Better than the general RYCO Z436

Thanks @sergeyv. @CX5_Driver, I think it might be a good idea to add this info to the CX-5 General Knowledge resource.

I bought a half dozen of the Wix 57002 from Amazon for a bit less than O'Reilly's, but they are pretty reasonable thereas well. 8 or 9 bucks maybe.

Lets see, 5000 miles divided by $9=$0.0018 per mile
vs.
5000 miles divided by $3=$0.0006 per mile.

Pretty good deal either way especially if you compare to a dealer oil change.
