Best CX-5 Phone Mount?

:
2018 Mazda CX5 Machine Gray
Anyone have a recommendation for a phone mount that really works well for a 2018 CX5? 2 criteria is that I prefer magnetized and not mounted on the windshield mounted? I have a wiz gear but find it slips off the vent too much. Would like something a bit more stable. If you have any that you really enjoy share away!

I had a good experience with the Kenu Airframe Magnetic prior to getting CarPlay:

Now I keep one in my bag for rental cars when traveling.

The only thing to note is that the clamp mechanism cracked on the first one I bought, but Kenu replaced it. I suspect it's because I would always leave it attached while my car sat in the summertime heat and then it got blasted by cold air from the AC too many times.

Scotty recommends a cup holder phone holder but I have no idea if it is any good. It is at 1:50 in the video.

Doesn't magnetic mount require a metal plate on the back of your cell phone?
That plate interferes with wireless charging.
Correct me if I am wrong here....

I've gone back to using the iBolt dock (with my own case / wired charging and not magnetic - https://ibolt.co/) for my Note 9. Works fine with fast charging. I tried the Xvida wireless magnetic mount with their case (https://www.xvida.com/) and liked the implementation and it held my Note 9 without issue but it caused some issues with my phone for some reason (ran a little slower and quirky...thought maybe it was the magnet in the phone case). I'm now looking into Quad Lock mount and case (https://www.quadlockcase.com/). They also has a wireless charging option if you want it.

It does require a metal plate, which I inserted between my phone and its case. Never really noticed it was there. The manufacturer says that if the plate is positioned correctly toward the bottom of the phone it will not interfere with wireless charging, but I never tested that.
