I would be interested in knowing about it too - had the same problem when it rained here.
Rained today here on the Eastern seaboard. I was backing into my driveway and there were many raindrops obscuring my camera lens. Has anyone tried putting something on the lens (Rain-X or wax) to mitigate this problem? Thanks.

I've used a spray wax as well as a paste wax. It helps, but barely.
