Not natively, but there are workarounds. I find the control knobs intuitive and easy enough that I don*t even bother with the touchscreen. In fact, I often forget it has that ability while stopped.

Same for me. I touched the screen once, the day I got the car. I've been using the knob for everything since then, including typing address info for navigation.
 
I'll probably add the Carplay module.

The voice command can be quicker or easier than typing an address if you're using the factory Nav. Roughly 30 seconds (see :32 here) Not sure how it works with Canadian addresses, but you don't need zip codes.
