Denso 150-2002 Dissection - 7,750 Miles

Good morning,

Below are a few pics of the Denso I recently ran. Was in use for 5 months and roughly 7,750 miles. Was replaced with another Denso and Edge EP. Held up beautifully; straight pleats, pliable ADBV, tight end caps. Denso is hush-hush on their efficiency specs, if they get back to me on my inquiry I'll update the board accordingly.

Excellent! Keep us posted. If these are a true replacement for the Mazda 1WPE-14-302 oil filter they are quite a bit less expensive (about $3.99 on RockAuto). My only concern is if the bypass pressure is the same as Mazda OEM.

Where is it made?

It definitely is not the same as OEM Denso Thai filter with ADBV.

COO was Korea IIRC, may have been China though.

EDIT: COO was China. Used to be Korea but they moved production a few years ago.

I'm sure the anti drain-back valve does no harm, but I prefer not to have one because it makes clean up and disposal easier after the oil change. You can just pour the oil out of the filter and recycle it with the rest.

Good point!
