Surprises for me were that Mazda made a rotary engine that ran on hydrogen, they also made one in 2003 that ran on gasoline and hydrogen.
First thoughts are the complexity is going to be insane. 35.5 KWh battery does not sound bad - about 100 mile range or so I guess for the larger CX-30 and the rotary range extender, if packaged well unlike the Volt, this can sell in okish numbers.
