Experience with the OEM soft cargo area liner?

I am looking at options for cargo area protection of our "new to us" 2016 and this one got my attention because it covers the 2nd row seats. I need protection from mainly dirt and dog hair. I am not expecting durability or protection of a weathertech but I do need it to withstand a 30 lb. dog's nails. How durable is it? Does it stay in place? Other inputs appreciated.

This is what I am referring to:

I found these installation instructions for that part number.

Also found this link from Scarboro Mazda that states that the mat has "anti skid backing".

Also found this thread on the forum that details the mat installation from the first link I posted.

It seems to be a little on the thin side. I would look into adding your own foam backing, at least for the fold out flap (to protect the painted portion of the bumper from getting scratched).

Here's a thread with great photos of this liner. I use this liner and we have our 50lb dog sit back there..but we do also put a pet seat protector (like this type) to add extra protection and to make it waterproof. So far it liner has worked fantastic. We're always throwing our baby stroller and other stuff in there and not a single tear or scratch. Definitely recommend it as it provides great protection to the seatback of the second row seats.

Thanks, those instructions helped, I hadn't seen those. It seems well-designed.

Thanks, it sounds like it might be exactly what we need.
