A 16 with the cool accent headlights can be a time bomb. I have seen few where the DRLs are dead. Its a $1600 expense. 16 has few other significant cost related TSBs which can be out of warranty now - e.g. Electric Parking Brake issue.
The 17 is a new model year with new design - it too has issues with popped dash etc. but it is under warranty longer.
