I have a 2016.5 CX-5 GT FWD + Tech.

I thought I had all the bells and whistles that came with this car but when I removed my glove box to install the new AA/Carplay module, I noticed two connectors that do not have anything connected to them ... anyone know what these connectors are used for?

First pic is of the two connectors in question, second pic is of the routing of the top connector.

I don't know. Maybe Mazda uses them as test ports for testing some circuit? They are hard to get to though, I would think any test port would be easy to get to.

Power for the glove box light that should have been included?

One is where they were too cheap to make a hole and provide a $.10 bulb, but spent way more than that to wire it for one...

Welcome to Mazda...

I believe the one on the left is used when installing the OEM remote start accessory. I believe the top on is the glove box light that doesn't exist.

My guess for the second wire is for the switch for that missing light.

Use a multimeter see if theres power to one of them see if it come one with dome lights or constant power.
