How to disable LAS - Lane-keep Assist

I almost crashed my car because of this "feature".
It was a specific situation, where the lane turned left and I was accelerating a little, there was a wall on the right and I kind of veered left and the car suddenly turned towards the wall. I almost lost control. I mean I was really lucky that I didn't crash..
I don't know about you - but for me this system is too aggressive and the steering wheel moves are too strong.
I fear that one day I am going to lose control of my car at higher speed than just 50 MPH.

So I decided to dig deeper into settings and turn this thing OFF for good.

So the manual says that the lane keep assist (LAS) operates over 40 MPH.
Well, I am not so sure.

It says there is a method to disable it in settings and that it is described in Mazda Connect Owners manual.
There - it says that you need to go to Active Safety and change the:
Lane-keep Assist System
Enables lane-keep steering assistance to help the vehicle stay within
the lane.

That's it.

If you have a slight doubt that LAS might disrupt your driving - change it.
Don't wait - until you get into a situation like I was. It is simply too dangerous.
