Looking into picking up a CX-9

Been gone for a year and a half since I handed the keys to the MAzda5 over to the MIL. Anyway, I see an 08 Touring within my search radius and I have to ask is the first couple years as bad as the 06-07 Mazda5s were?

I have an 08 FWD GT. Had 60k when I picked it up and at 95k now w/no major issues. Avoid the AWD at all costs and the smart keyless entry system honestly is pretty dumb. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it (it's for the family)

We have an '09 Grand Touring. Bought at 65,000 miles and now at 131,000. No drive train issues with FWD. Only maintenance items have been: new spark plugs and coils, new fuel injectors (one had high resistance), had to vacuum out the front AC drain and one change of front and rear brake pads and front disks.
