Odd AWD Error message

I was sitting in CX-5 today and turned car on for a quick moment to lower a window.

I noticed in the right display screen it quickly displayed something along the lines "Check AWD System" in amber or yellow. It then went away. Never saw that message before and other than the 4WD light listed in '15 owner's manual not in owner's manual. I guess if my rear diff is gonna go out it better soon as less than 4 weeks on factory powertrain warranty left.

I came home and scanned codes of AT and 4WD modules and nothing... not even historical. Hopefully just a glitch but that usually isn't the long term story.

It doesn't appear to be this issue as the rear diff breather that terminates in the cargo area hasn't seen water. You can see if by pulling the hardware to the right area of spare tire and looking under the right side plastic trim.

Hmm. When I did my trans fluid last week I also did my front diff. I skipped the rear because of the pita of pumping into the fill hole. Might need to check and do it just in case after replace my rod bearings.
