Turning it Off

Yeah I am talking about the same thing. If the fan is off and you feel air coming through, you need to switch it to recirc and then you won't feel that air come through anymore when the fan is off.

Right, but if we want fresh thru the center vents or defroster only, or recirc with the fan, we still feel a little from the side vents when they're "off".

I figured they were all like that. Isn't yours? Or does yours actually shut?

Guess I'm not following you.

It's just that when you "close" those outer vents, they're not fully closed.

It's just a trivial thing, not worth too much thought.
Oh...you are talking closed as in the physical dial under the vent?

Can't say I've ever tried.

Exactly, except my wheel is to the side. Try it on your way home today and see just for grins.
When you get your car back, that is. :)

On the post 17 models you can add those thumbwheel closers and they aren*t expensive.

Do you have a source for them? My main concern would be mucking up the vents, since my car is leased.

just drove the cx5 and tried the re-circulation on/off , with fan at zero
re-circulation on it does stop the air flow coming out of vents ..............

thanks for info .........
