Replacing oil strainer and vacuum pump at home - possible?

Hi all, our story is basically the exact same as what's transpired in this thread here.

2012 Mazda CX 5 Diesel 115,000km
- Vehicle System Inspection required
- Engine inspection required
- Engine oil pressure inspection required

Our car has three codes - P258B (vacuum pump), P06DE (related to the oil strainer), P055f (oil pressure). We've got a quote to fix all that but seemingly there might be a bigger issue with the camshaft from what I've read in the aforementioned thread. However our VIN doesn't match the format as contained in the service bulletin - it begins with 7AT0C144X....

In regards to replacing the vacuum pump and cleaning the oil strainer, is this something anyone has done themselves? We're trying to figure out the least expensive option forward. Any advice would be most appreciated!
