Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with the power seat of my 2014 Mazda CX5 I was hoping someone here might be able to help me with. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that the seat on the left track doesn't move forward. On the right track, it seems to be fine (so actually what ends up happening is when you use the power control to move the seat forward, it ends up tilting to the left because it won't slide along the L track). Seat moves back without a problem.
I took a look under the tracks but cannot visibly see anything blocking it (but I presume I will need to actually take off the seat to get a good view). This is really the only thing I can think of that would cause these symptoms. If the motor cable or motor were bad, I wouldn't expect the seat to move at all. My questions are the following:
1) Does anyone have a link to the service manual of the car that can tell me how/what tools I need to remove the seat and take a better look at things?
2) Is there something specific I should be looking for here that I haven't considered that might explain what's going on?
3) If I am unable to find a cause for what's going on, is there a way I can manually move the seat up and bypass the powerseat function?
Thanks in advance
