Ditto to the 3M VHB. It's actually meant to replace welding in assembly line and it's what GoPro uses for their mounts that are attached to the outside of cars and planes.

I gave up on 3m and purchased a suction adapter mount. The adhesive will fall off sooner or later. And you might want to upgrade the camera, or sell the car, or use the cam in a trip on a rental.
