I accidentally left my mazda cx5 (2013) on drive and turned it off overnight, after searching on google leaving it on neutral or drive will drain the battery... the next day the light on the start button was blinking amber until it no longer lights at all, the dashboard is dead as well.
The fob does not lock or unlock the doors but lights up red.
I switched the gear to park from drive, and now I cant move it anymore.
The break pedal cannot be fully depressed and is stuck halfway down.
I called my dealer last friday and was advised to jump it, but it didnt work, maybe because I cant depress the pedal to start it anyway.
Help please, and thank you in advance.
update: the dashboard and radio now work and the start button and key on the dashboard are now green. but when I start the engine it just whirs for 1 second then dies again
