2013~2016 Spare tire area caulking original or after repair job?

Hey there folks,

Bought a used 2014 CX-5 last week and although I did the most investigating I could (Carfax - DMV - Inspection by my mechanic - Call to the two prior dealerships where maintenance has been done) there*s still a bit of paranoia lol

So I was going through all the nooks and crannies since I got it and today went and had a look at the spare tire area cause I felt something was loose and found out a bag of wheel nuts on the tire that was not fastened to anything and as I was looking I noticed sone grey/white caulking all around the trunk and was wondering if it was original. I tried looking at some pics but all they ever show is the spare and the black foam with the tools.

So... is that grey/white caulking normal?

I compared your caulk to my own, and while you seem to have slightly less caulk, I assure you that yours is normal.

That caulk is applied at the factory.
