So, at the dealership where I take my Mazda, I personally know one of the mechanics. I worked with him years ago 1998 and worked with him for 3 years until 2001. Personal friends, so I trust him. Damn good mechanic too. I've literally seen him do magic.
To the point, Him and the salesman that sold me the CX-5 keep asking me "Hows the fuel mileage?" every time I come in. Are they trying subtly tell me something? Should I be bringing up the fact that the fuel mileage is bad in order to get an ECU flash or something under warranty?
Fuel mileage in the city isn't great, but not bad. We always make sure to run the vehicle a few times a week on the highway as my wife only drives it approx 2-5 kms to work and back. I make sure to "Blow out the carbon" a few times a week as well as running the odd tank of high test when going on long drives.
Any and all advice appreciated.
