Heat not working

I have a 2007 Mazda CX nine the heat is blowing from the rear valance but not from the front vents. Ive tried all of the different settings and nothing blows out. I noticed today that the recirculation button will not turn on. Anyone have any idea what this problem could be?

Seems like the blower is not functioning and needs replacement. My theory.

The fan is working.

"the recirculation button will not turn on"
The air distribution is controlled by dampers (little doors in the ducts) inside the dash. It seems like an electrical control problem of these dampers (thus the recirc not switching) rather than a problem with the damper actuators, although it might be both or something else.
