2019 CX5 vs 2019 Rav4

...hmmm...I'm pretty sure that CR still has Toyota at #1 in Car Brand reliability for 2018, so you can take that for what it's worth.

But do agree that Honda has been slipping on that list.

What a minute, I thought the most reliable brand was Chevy?

Just went through the same dilemma, ordered a CX5.

I was able to get AWD and aluminum rims for about 5,000 less than the Toyota. I can't imagine Toyota expects you to spend 26,000 and get steel rims.

Also, I made the mistake of buying a first model year Toyota, just don't.

I was watching this commercial and if you can catch the fine print near the bottom, on screen for about 5 seconds, you will see that the claims are based on 2015 data.

Never owned a Chevy....that said I perceive new models as reliable for a US make. They seem to use tried and true tech as opposed to Ford.
