VINs don't mean anything. This issue has been reported on vehicles outside of the TSB range on this very forum. By the way, I'm the original poster of this problem a few years back and posts like this catch my eye and this problem has been reported on vehicles up to the 2016 model year. I still don't believe Mazda has solved the problem as I think the TSB is just a catchall for weird noises coming from the trans. To the OP, congrats on getting a reduced price on your trans. I believe it should carry a 12 month/12k standard parts replacement warranty.
