Mazda 3 2004
Hello,

For some reason the Power Steering Warning light stays on, in my Mazda 3 2004.
I've used the car with this light on since 4 years without problems, everything works perfectly fine, I can steer even with my little finger, so it works 100% but can't understand why this light is on.

It's so bright and disturbing me when I'm driving in night, otherwise I don't care if it's on or not as long as everything is working just fine.

Anyone got an idea what might be the problem?

Thank you in advance.

Typically, it would be due to low hydraulic fluid. Did you check the power steering reservoir? If it is not up to the line, add some or better yet, get a Turkey baster bulb and remove as much as you can before adding fresh fluid. This should be done, periodically to keep the fluid clean.

The fluid is 1~2mm below high line, so that's not the case, but I'm planning to replace the fluid with CASTROL TRANSMAX DEX III. With a little research I found that I can remove the current fluid by detaching the hose which is located behind front right tire.

I hope this fixes the issue :(
