MZD Connect Time Wrong Since CarPlay Install

2018 CX-5 Touring.

Since updating to v70 and installing CarPlay, the time in my MZD system will not stay on the correct time.

I have GPS Sync enabled. I have reset the time manually and reset GPS Sync only to find the time off by hours and the time zone off by 1 time zone.

I have now disabled GPS Sync and manually reset time. I will let you know if it keeps the correct time.

Has anyone else seen this? I know it had been an issue with MZD Connect pre CarPlay versions too.

So far, manually setting time and turning off GPS Sync works.

I know this is a year old, but anyone else found a more 'elegant' solution to this issue. My new 2019 CX-5 does this exact same thing... every other time I start her, the clock will be way off (several hours, sometimes) and will not re-sync. Going into settings and disabling GPS sync and then re-enabling will immediately sync the clock again. WTF?

I can't believe that (well, hope not) the solution is just to disable the sync?
