What's the price of the car? OTD is different for everyone, state-to-state, even dealer-to-dealer, because of different fees/taxes/etc.

Contacted 20 dealers. Best price for a CX-9 Signature in white was $42,700. Paying cash. Price includes all fees and taxes (other than state sales tax).

That is pretty good. Honestly, you should be able to finance for less (but pay more).

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area, contacted a number of dealers and used TrueCar to request a "True Price". Lots of bait and switch, it smelled like, but I was able to to get $38,588k before TTL/fees on a '19 GT AWD (this price already factored in Mazda $1k cashback), so OTD was about $42.5k.

Not the best deal but not bad I suppose. Never go into negotiations after a long day at work... always a good lesson.

    EDIT: Sorry for posting twice...

I would have to go look at papers, i think it was around 42.5k. They made numbers so it all equaled to $45k in the end.
    (($42.5k+dealer fees+mats)-$500 incentive)+6%tax=$45k

I called dealer around noon on 12/31, offered to pay $45k all in for car they had on the lot. Told them i would bring a check and pick up the car same day. They said they would call me back, 15 minutes later we had a deal, and 5 hours later i picked up the car.

Best car buying experience of my life, literally took 15 minutes to sign all pre-prepared papers and i was out with new car.

Just got a deal for a 2019 brand new CX-9 GT AWD for $38080. OTD price for NJ is $41,400 including TTL. Is this a good deal or no?

Got a quote of $39650 for a 2019 CX-9 GT FWD with 0.9% financing for 60 months. It seems a bit higher than expected, especially since the 2020 model is due for introduction in the next few weeks (or months?). If it was an AWD, I would have taken the deal already.

I was quoted $38,128 on a 2019 GT FWD in the Dallas area. MSRP was $41,835.

    $39,830 for a 2019 GT AWD. MSRP was $43,635.

Got a quote for $40k on a 2019 GT AWD with an MSRP of $44,460. This quoted price also qualifies for Mazdaís 0.9% APR financing incentive. This is an important distinction since there is also a $2k incentive available that does not qualify for the financing incentive. I think I can still get it lower.

I donít really need the AWD but if itís within a few hundred dollars from a FWD, then it would be a better deal. Still searching for a deal on FWD also

Good price on GT with that MSRP. FWD should be at least $1,700 less as well as better fuel economy and more reliable
    if AWD is not needed.

2019 GT AWD purchased at Schomp Mazda in Denver. They are a "one-price" shop which I thought would be high but after looking, they seemed to be the most competitive around town.

    MSRP - $43,635
    Price - $41,130
    Taxes (7%) on $24,630 (price less trade-in) - $1,724.10
    Temp Plate fee - $ 31.41
    Less finance rebate - $2,500
    Total Price - $40,385.51

Thatís what I thought about the price. Although, I did see one for $500 less so maybe thereís still a bit of wiggle room.

The FWD seems more in demand in my neck of the woods so there isnít much room to negotiate. It is coming up to the end of the month so it may change. Sadly, itís looking like I may have to skip this end of month cycle and wait for Labor Day weekend to try and make a deal. It slipped my mind that I have vacation coming up and donít want to complicate it with buying a car. Might be better anyway since info on 2020 CX-9 might be available by then.

Whatís the finance rebate of $2500? Is that for not taking the financing incentive? Is is a regional incentive?
