Greetings can anyone assist,im trying to figure out which colour wire is for speedo mtx on the ecu

It looks like it's either a green wire with a red stripe or a violet (purple) wire with a red stripe.


The input wire is weird and confusing because if you have ABS the speed info comes from the wheel speed sensors.

If you don't have ABS the speed info comes from a gear driven off the transmission, so the wire feeding into pin #58 can be different colors.

The diagrams I posted are for Canadian and American models from 2002.
I don't know what model you have in South Africa, and it may be different ??? Especially with this particular input which already has different inputs and color codes.

I found this...



The "< >" symbol is for an automatic transmission, so your speedo wire should be green with a red stripe.

It's called an Etude right? I have most other P5 badges and IIRC that is it's name there................
