The lense came out in my CX-5 also. I thought I was hit too but look at it no damage at all. A small scuff would not push that lense out. A pretty good hit would be needed. I just dut tapes mine in since I know Mazda will not do a thing about it.
Same goes with the ease in which the hood chips. Wife is not a highway driver and its a mess. Noticed about every other CS-5 at the dealer had the same issue. That definitely looks like a paint issue to me.
