Spindle-Strut bolt torque specs

:
2008 Mazda 5
I can't find what I would call reliable information regarding Mazda 5 torque specs for the bolt that hols the spindle onto the strut. I find a lot of conflicting information out there. Some say 175-235 ft-lbs others say 135-200 ft-lbs. Some don't even mention what the specs are. Does anyone have a Haynes or similar book that has torque specs available?

Don't have one, sorry. Based on the info you found, with this wide of a range they give does not see to matter.
Just go between the both settings at around 185.

I've got a workshop manual. I'm trying to find exactly what piece you're looking for. Can you describe exactly what bolt you're looking at? Front or rear?

I found it. Thanks! Autozon says 75-87 ft-lbs

It's the one that pinches the knuckle around the strut.

Searching for mazda 5 through their repair guide finder tells me they have no guides, but Google finds it for me. Weird.

This might come in handy for someone.

Yeah, that was my bad. I was remembering torque specs for the spindle nut. I couldn't find anything on the spindle strut pinch bolt. I'm not sure there's in a cast part could handle 200 ft-lbs.
