I have a 2017 cx9 signature that had metal valve stem caps on it when I purchased it. As you may know, they corrode and the only way to remove them is with heat or cutting the caps off. While cutting them off, 3 of the valve stems were damaged and look horrible. I want to replace them like I have with traditional valve stems in the past w/a valve stem tool w/out removing the tire.
I have read that the cx9 does not use traditional tpms sensors (it uses wheel rotation w/the abs instead). My question is this:
Are the valve stems just regular valve stems which can be replaced with something like this?:
