Unnecessary spark plug replacement?

I wouldn’t waste my time. No guarantee that what is in the picture is what you’ll get. What is it they say about something that’s too good to be true? Get the NGK plugs here in the states. The $6 Denso Iridium plugs I found at Advance Auto locally are working fine in my ‘13 CX-5 (which Yrwei was somehow capable of finding out was a plug that was installed in some CX5s from factory).

Denso was the OEM plug in our 2013 CX-5.....later replaced by NGK. Been 40k miles since and no issues. Should be interchangeable (correct part numbers). Only time to stick with true Factory ones is if you're tuning engine imho.

Nice! The Denso Iridium TTS were only $6 a plug when I replaced them. Car runs as good as new and I highly recommend them.

I always liked NGK. 50,000 on my CX5 and just installed NGK 92274 Ruthenium HX. Rockauto best prices and I share my 5% off Code: 132682219123263263 good until May 17.
One weird issue I had. I did not realize I need a 9/16(14mm), after putting coil back on to go to parts store. I was getting miss fires and loss, but when I started it back up to leave parts store it was fine. Like the computer was confused. I got the Ruthenium in and did not press brake, just start button twice. Waited 10 seconds then started, Don’t know if you have to do that. But no problem or codes after that.

Yeah you need a 14mm spark plug socket to change spark plugs on CX/5. And if you want to save money by not getting the OEM plugs, use ONLY NGK (94124) ILKAR7L11 Laser Iridium spark plugs!

Just replaced the plugs in the CX-5.

These were replaced a little early, with all the things happening in the world, this is one I won't have to worry about for awhile.

Here are the originals:

Looks like they are firing pretty consistently.

Here are the new ones.....NGK Ruthenium of course!

So far been driving with these in for a couple weeks now, haven't noticed any difference from the originals, positive or negative, mileage and performance seam to be the same.

No reason the original plugs couldn't have gone 100k before being swapped out.
