Useful Oil Information

I know it's a sponsored page by Amsoil, but it provides useful information comparing other brands. I use the Castrol Edge full synthetic which fairs quite well IMO and from the comparison test. With mostly City driving I burn about 0.4 quarts every 4k miles and catch 1.8ml of blowby

if you're going to be posting these tests on here, at least read the information correctly. they are measuring the size of the wear scar that would occur on something like a rod bearing. This means that the SMALLER the number, the more that specific oil managed to protect the rod bearings, or whatever was tested in that chart.

This means that the Castrol and Mobil 1 did the poorest in this test (not surprisingly)

the two brands I've used in the past which I thought were really good is Liqui-Moly and Motul.

don't be scared to use a thicker oil weight in your car: everywhere else in the world 0W is not specified as the only option, this is the case in North America due to the CAFE requirements. take a look at this thread:
