OEM Steel Valve Stems vs Rubber

:
2017 CX5 AWD Touring
Most people don't realize that when they get new tires on their CX5, the tire place will remove the OEM steel valve stems and replace them with rubber versions.

I believe the OEM steel are better quality/stronger than the rubber ones.

Any input on this from others?

Nobody's going to be removing the steel valve stems on your gen 2 CX-5 because they're part of the TPMS mechanism. And if they do (or did!?), you've got a real problem because now your TPMS is inop! Gen 1 CX-5s had rubber valve stems because Mazda used an ABS-based TPMS sytem on them.
