I presume the fully autonomous car would shut down completely when it encounters high temperatures in the above scenario as one or more sensors have been affected. As Saintsreturn says electronics and high temperatures do not mix. Military or NASA grade electronics would be better but then vehicles would cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
