Rain Guards / All-Weather Mats

I do not know if they have a US distributor, but they do ship to the US.

What I like about them is that they go very high everywhere, you do not see any carpet floor. At the back they even go under the back seat to make sure you have full coverage.

So these are $145 US for the fronts and back??

the full set for a 2017-18 is 228$ Can, so about 170-175 US.

I assume you bought the Tuxmat. Do they utilize the factory floor mat buttons on the fronts?

I got those Canadian ones for the front, and they are excellent. I don't think anything will get underneath like the factory ones, and they won't move at all. They are a little bit slicker than carpet when wet. I'm about to order the ones for the rear too.

I probably would have bought the Walmart one's though had they been available. They may be a lighter color but look like the same design, I'm assuming they are made by the same manufacturer.

The Tuxmax are different than the MaxPider. The Tuxmax cover more area.

Since you got the Tuxmax. How long did it take to arrive in the USA? Did they utilize the button clips on the fronts?

I have the ones Seminole posted in post #16. Are those Tuxmax? I think they are called genuine Mazda premium.

It took about a week, maybe a day or 2 more, to the west coast.

They are NOT Tuxmax, they are Mazda Premium. Still great mats but different design.

I prefer the OEM liners! They cover the dead pedal, they look great, and they have this kind of backing that really sticks to the carpet so they'll never move!

no they do not use the buttons, which I find is a good thing because they always broke with the weathertechs.

Tuxmat uses clips that goes under the plastic trim around the mat to make sure the fit is perfect. The mat do not move at all.

Tuxmat also cover completely the dead pedal. Seriously, I doubt there is better fit and better coverage anywhere.

I could take pictures, but with the winter we have they are really dirty now.

ended up buying these motor trend mats (front, rear, and cargo) for only $21!
even if they sucked i wouldn't be out much so I gave it a shot as opposed to paying over $300 for an OEM set.

while I didn't get it to be a perfect 100% fit, I got it pretty damn close with some careful measurements and cutting. Very happy with these and so glad I didn't buy OEM

In the USA the OEM set should not cost more then about $160 (forget the actual amount) not $300. $160 got me front, rear, and cargo - all weather, thick, heavy duty.

I have had my share of non OEM matts over the years. After having them slide around, I started butying OEM about 10 years ago, and that is all I get. Very happy with OEM.

It really depends if cost or fit/finish is more important. if you are happy that is all that counts.

I find the mazda all weather ones do a good job, dont know how dirty your life is though. I try to clean my mats every month they are holding up like new and i had my car for almost a year now. I got mine at a discount since i got the Winter package that included mats, mudflaps, and blockheater.

They better hold up like new. They are very well made. I do not like all the crude that accumulates around the gas pedal. Don't suppose any mat really helps there.

Just got my order of 3D MAXpider, OMG it looked so good and feels good too. I only got a pair for the front side and still using my OEM all-weather rubber ones for the back seats to save a few bucks. However, compare with my OEM rubber mats - hands down 3D MAXpider win in every aspect. Recommend for anyone who is looking for a good all weather floormats.

Ours is in the shop for door repair (got backed into). I could take a pic of the weather techs in my GTI. They’re very similar but the GTI doesn’t have a floor mounted gas pedal like the CX-5.

This is the the Tuxmat, just love them, cannot beat the coverage.
