CX5 - LED fog light + turn signal

Ok. Here is the info. It is Chinese made and endorsed by China Mazda. Not sure if that is true. Warranty is 6 mths. No cutting or slicing of wires. There are three wires and install is plug and play. ATM he is checking with his courier on shipping costs to USA $133 usd a set. i will try a set. Oh he is also working on intall instructions, a video i think. I will only commit to buying after i have seen it. I have other videos with the product instlalled and in operation. its linked to my FB i have to figure out how to upload or share them here.

Looks to be almost identical to the other foglight drls from aliexpress and ebay except this one has a raised edge. And someone slapped a Mazda logo on the box and raised the price $50. Mazdas are not even that popular in China, why would Mazda China be releasing this.

No offense to poster, and nothing against fake stuff but products coming from certain Asian countries, you need to understand exactly what you are getting and weed through the good with the bad.

I would like to see that wiring harness out of the package, not convinced it's PnP. Pictures are not high enough resolution that I can copy and blow them up without a lot of pixels

Yeah guys i am skeptical too. FWIW he is a member of Mazda CX5 club in Austraila, Malaysia and USA on FB. He speaks English welll enough. I had a brief chat with him. Heres his whats app 0162812828 Danny Chan. Others here can reach out to him to determine authencity of Product. i am just Passing on info for the benefit of everyone

Agreed. But some Genuine OEM Mazda accessories are made in China anyways. Just need to verify its a quality item somehow

Hello guys, I got a question for you guys, the ones who have done the install.

You guys with a Touring model (W/O fogs) have noticed if there's a wiring in place for the fog lights?

Do you guys needed to removed the front bumper?

I got a Touring model and will add the fog lights only. But I need to know if I can get away with the installation w/o removing the bumper. Or if I just should go for it and remove it.

Thanks in advance

You don't need to remove the bumper, you can do everything from the top and bottom. If you don't have fog lights, you can run the red wire up to the orange side marker light wire.

Finally got these installed,
Wanted to thank CharlestonMX5 for all his help and patience!
Definitely should've been an OEM option.

Rec*d my set from China a few weeks ago but haven*t had time to install. Planning to do so this weekend. What kind of tools or stuff will I need (saw zipties, double sided velcro and T-taps earlier in post).

Anyone have a tutorial? I watched the youtube vid of the asian guy doing the install in the factory but its mostly the guy taking off the bumper and not much detail once he gets down to the wiring.

Lastly, to those folks who did the install on Sport/Touring model, did you add foglights to your setup? My set comes with an empty foglight frame cover but was considering adding actual foglights. What size are these?

Thanks in advance

You do NOT need to remove the bumper ! All this can be done from under the car and on top to run wiring.
Tools needed from memory.
Jacks and jack stands you can use ramps if you have them
Sockets, 10mm and 12 or 14 mm for plastic covers on bottom
Small flat head screw driver for pull tabs
Regular and short screw driver, I think #2 tip maybe smaller ( small about 2-3 inch long)
Wire striper and crimper
(4) T-taps (I used one straight tap on ground but you could use a T-tap there too)
Add-a-fuse if you don't want to wire to fog lights and run red wire to fuse box KEY ON fuse
Velcro and zip ties to secure wires and control box
Wire loom to protect wiring, I used 2 sizes, but I have plenty in my garage
Electrical tape to secure ends of wiring loom optional
